Mt. Carmel Asics Invite

When: Saturday, September 21

Race Schedule: Here is the entry list with athlete names and start times.

Where:  Morley Field Sports Complex, San Diego, CA. Here are directions to the site.

Parking: This is a big meet and parking can be a challenge. Once the parking lots fill up, people parallel park in the surrounding neighborhood. The later your race, the bigger challenge parking will be.

Carpool Connection: If you are willing to provide a carpool for another athlete or if you need help finding a carpool, click here to access a Google document where you can connect with each other. Drivers (whether a parent or athlete) must have the Private Auto Use Form on file with the Athletic Department, which was part of the athletic clearance process.

When to Arrive: Please plan to arrive at the canopy 1.5 hours before your race. Keep in mind that parking will be challenging. Please err on the side of caution.

Where to Find Us: Our yellow team canopy will be located in the grassy area between Texas St and Joe Schloss Way. The area is just south of the parking lot that runs parallel to Upas. (See yellow star on this map/photo.)

Course Details: Here is a course map. According to their website, "Both Boys and Girls will run a 3-Mile course. Each race, freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior, will award 50 places for athletes... In 2023, the meet had over 90 schools competing and had 2800 runners competing in the sixteen races... We will be featuring bib only timing by Finished Results."

What to Bring: Uniform and team warm-up shirt, water bottle, sunscreen, running shoes, racing shoes/flats (if you have them), and a snack. Boys may wear compression shorts under their uniform but they must be all black; if there is a logo, it must be white and smaller than a credit card.

Spectators: There isn't much information on the race website in terms of spectators. Based on past history, we don't believe there will be any spectator fees. Permanent bathrooms are situated throughout the park, and portapotties will likely be set up as well.

We hope to see everyone at the race, cameras ready!!
