Where? Canyonside Community Park, near the playground
So what exactly is a time trial, anyway? A time trial is cross country's version of a tryout. It establishes a baseline for your fitness level. It helps our coaches create individualized workouts and ensures we’re not overtraining or undertraining anyone. It will also be used to determine the varsity runners for our first race.
Are you wondering why in the world it's 4 hours long?!?!? Well, that's because the morning will include a team meeting, time trial, team-building and games, and a picnic!
7:30 a.m. Team meeting
8:00 a.m. Warm up
8:30 a.m. Time trial
9:00 a.m. Cool down & stretching
9:30 a.m. Team-building & games
10:45 a.m. Taco picnic lunch
11:30 p.m. Pick up
Be sure to properly hydrate the day before! Bring water, a towel, and plenty of sunscreen.
