Saturday, 9.08.18, 8:00am, at Kit Carson Park
Saturday: first race! Bronco Invitational. Kit Carson Park, Escondido. 2 mile race for everyone. Parents drive your athletes and arrive 1.5 hours before the start time of your race. This will serve as the make-up time trial for those who did not do the time trial. See roster below for additional details of who is racing with the race times. Also please note the following info from the race director: "The City of Escondido is cracking down on certain aspects of the meet: Please inform your parents that parking in the Sports Plex and Tennis lots is not allowed. Any legal parking space north of the park access road is ok."
Kit Carson Park, 3333 Bear Valley Pkwy, Escondido, CA 92033 The race area is located across the parking lot from the Girl Scouts. Parking can be a challenge, so please plan accordingly. Look for our team under the gold and cardinal TPHS tent at the picnic tables near the finish area.
Course: All races 2.0 miles of mostly dirt and grass with one significant hill.
Last year's video. Awards: Medals to first 35 finishers in each race.
- Please bring to meet: racing singlet and shorts, training shoes, racing flats (if you own them), watch, wear your team t-shirt, large water bottle
- Please make sure to eat carbs 1-2 hours before your race (ideas: toast with pb or almond butter and a banana, oatmeal, bagel, sandwich, etc.)
