Woohoo! Torrey Pines had a great meet this week. Sebastian Barclay, Cormac OBrien, Nick Salz, and James Cusack swept 1st through 4th in the 800m varsity. James also set a huge PR in the 1600m with a 4:47.76! Then Josh Mendez and Collin Heppel raced to 1st and 3rd in the 3200m varsity. Collin had a great race, finishing in 10:35.32. In the 4x400m, Alak Fryt ran a fast split of 52.2, and the varsity "A" team had an exciting finish, barely missing a victory.
On the girl's side, Kiana Bourgeois and Anni Salz finished 1st and 3rd in the varsity 800m, running amazing times of 2:25 and 2:27. While Nicole McRae and Olivia Schroeder raced one and two in the JV 800m. In the 1600m, Zoe Canipe placed 3rd and set a PR of 5:41.31. Way to go Ladies!
Next Thursday we will be at home for a tri meet.
